COVID-19 STATEMENT 03-16-2020

After a lot of thoughtful discussions, we felt it is necessary to make this statement:

The health of our customers and the community is of paramount importance to us. Due to the COVID-19 virus and the concerns surrounding it, we want to share with you what we are doing for extra precautions in and around our small business at Cycology Bike Shop.

Independent and locally owned small businesses have already started feeling the effects of slower traffic and lower sales. As a small business, we rarely have extra cash sitting around. So our staff and employees directly feel the impact when we experience even simple things like rainy weekend days or snow days. Even more so during times of economic uncertainty, no matter how brief or temporary they might be. We want to emphasize how important it is that people all across America continue to consider supporting all local businesses when and where they can year-round, but particularly right now.

However, nothing is more important than the safety and health of our customers and staff. Period. So for those of you who are planning on coming by Cycology Bike Shop, we have begun implementing some new and extended processes to ensure the health of our customers and employees. We are not panicking, but want to make sure we use every bit of common sense we have to make sure we continue to deliver on amazing and safe customer experiences for everyone.

With that in mind . . .
We have increased the cleaning protocols in our shop.

Our door handles, bathrooms, counters, and CC touch pads, are being cleaned throughout the day.

Our point of sale system will be cleaned and sanitized throughout the day and we are encouraging every customer to use their debit and credit cards at our customer-facing point of sale system versus using cash.

As our supply lasts, we will have hand sanitizer available at the counter, and hand soap available in the bathroom.

We have implemented additional hand washing and sanitizing protocols for our staff.

We ask that any customers or staff that are sick with any flu-like symptoms to please stay home and refrain from coming to Cycology Bike Shop.

For those who have reduced social activity, we encourage you to visit our online shop at http://CycologyBikeShop.com where we’re open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Any repairs can be dropped off, diagnosed, and we will contact you via a text or phone call to go over the options. As always...quotes are free to you! We are happy to come out to your car and get the bike to reduce your interactions with others.

We will hand-deliver any products or orders to your vehicle for curbside pickup. Just call us, email us, text us or message us your order or what you’re looking for and we’ll take your order over the phone and arrange a time for you to pick it up curbside.

We still plan to be open regular hours unless something changes in our local community, or we are advised by local or national governmental agencies. In the interim, we will continue to follow and abide by all health recommendations from the CDC and WHO.

Our staff is all being offered Paid Time Off if they are feeling sick, anxious, or they are needing to care for their family impacted by illness and closures due to this outbreak.

Our group rides are still, for the time being, going as scheduled. Being outside seems to be a great option for physical and mental health! That said, please call the shop before coming for any scheduled ride as we might have to cancel them quickly due to CDC, U.S. Government or WHO guidelines.

We know that the news around what is happening now seems alarming but we want you to know that the safety and health of our customers and staff is our top priority. We firmly believe that we can and will get through this by being proactive and taking care of ourselves and each other. We’re all in this together!

As always, we are committed to providing a clean, safe environment centered around family-friendly activities and shopping. We are grateful that you choose to support our small business and we are wishing everyone good health!

We’d also like to thank the massive small business community across America who are out in front of this, being collaborative, and allowing us to borrow some of their best practices and ideas!

Thank you & stay safe,
Ira & Mike

COVID-19 UPDATE 03-23-2020

As we continue to look at our business model during this pandemic and how to best serve our community, we have made the decision to postpone all of our group rides until things clear up a little. We are looking into hosting some group rides on Zwift and we will follow up with updates as decisions are made. We are sure you will agree that, at this time, hosting a “public gathering” is not a smart idea.

We are continuing to look at all aspects of our business, and how we can best move forward. We will post any updates to our operating procedures and/or store hours on both our social media outlets and our website as decisions are made.

We encourage you to visit our online store at http://CycologyBikeShop.com where we are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We are doing everything we know to take care of our team and customers while balancing how to keep this small business going.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.

COVID-19 UPDATE 03-25-2020

An update to our previous statements regarding our steps to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus:

We will continue to be open for our regular business hours, but we will have reduced staff in the store.

Per state guidelines we will limit the total number of people in the store to a maximum of 10 but we reserve the right to lower this number or begin curbside service at any time.

If we need to limit the number of people inside the store, we will operate on a one out and one in basis.

We request that customers wipe down bikes brought in for service before entering the store.

Until further notice, we are suspending all fit services to limit physical contact with our customers.

We request that you respect and abide by these new protocols and we ask for your patience during these difficult times.

Please email info@cycologybikeshop.com with any questions.

We will post any additional updates and/or revisions to our operating procedures as needed.

Thanks,
Ira & Mike

COVID-19 UPDATE 03-26-2020

Due to the large number of people who just want to stop by to talk and/or browse, we are revising one more aspect of our operating procedures. We love talking with our customers, but in these times, for our safety and yours, we need to abide by current social distancing procedures.
Starting immediately, we will be locking our doors and letting people in and out to better control the number of people inside our store. Please knock on the door when you arrive and an employee will let you in. Once your business has been completed, we will let you out and bring the next person in. A maximum of 4 customers will be allowed inside at one time.Sadly, this is not the time for us to get social calls from our customers (our favorite people). Please do not come by if you are just looking to talk and/or browse as the defeats the point of social distancing.
Thank you for your understanding as we continue to do our best to protect our employees and customers.

COVID-19 UPDATE 03-28-2020

Starting Tuesday, March 31, we will be revising our hours of operation as follows.

Tuesday - Friday 11a - 5p
Saturday 10a - 5p
Sunday 1p - 5p

COVID-19 UPDATE 04-04-2020

Beginning Tuesday, April 7, Cycology Bike Shop will move to appointment only for all sales and service. Additionally, we have made the difficult decision not to allow any customers inside the store and we will operate via curbside service only. We have been debating this move for the past week and we have come to the conclusion that this is the best move for the safety of both our customers and staff.

Please email info@cycologybikeshop.com to schedule your appointment.

For service, please let us know your name, phone number, bicycle and the issues that need servicing.

For sales, please let us know your name, phone number, and what you are looking to purchase.

Once your email is received we will respond (within 24 hours) to schedule a time for your visit.

When you arrive, please call 678-909-2472 and let us know you are outside and we will assist you. There will be a minimum of $15 charge for all service appointments. The charge will be applied towards the balance of any service completed.

If you need parts and/or accessories (clothing, pumps, helmets, tools, etc.) please order them via our online store at http://CycologyBikeShop.com and select in store pick up. As stated in some of our previous messages, we will be happy to bring them to your car when you arrive to limit contact with others. Our website also offers the option to ship most items to your home if you would prefer not to venture outside.

Please remember that we are working as fast as we can to help all customers, and with our reduced staff, things might, and probably will, take longer than usual.
